Filipa Brandão, Ph.D. Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, Management, Industrial Engineering, and Tourism (DEGEIT) of the University of Aveiro, Portugal.

She is a full member of the Research Unit in 'Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies' of the University of Aveiro (GOVCOPP-UA), Vice- Director of the Master in Tourism Management and Planning, Associate Editor of Tourism & Development Journal (indexed in SCOPUS).

She authored or co-authored books, book chapters, and papers published in international journals. She is also involved in applied research and consultancy projects in the field of Tourism and Leisure and is a member of the organizing and scientific committees of international tourism conferences.

Her research and scientific production focus on tourism innovation, regional development, social network analysis, and tourism destinations' planning and management.
